Who's Got Predictions?

Game 1 is tonight; what's going to happen in the series?

I say Phillies in 7, with Cliff Lee pitching the Phils into the World Series with a Game 7 gem.

(That's the optimistic Larry; the realistic Larry thinks the Dodgers are going to win in 6. I hope realism is overrated.)

  1. You know better than anyone that my predictions (in any sphere of life!) are good for absolutely nothing. But I did just want to leave a comment and let you know that I love the optimistic Larry! Let's see some more of him! :o) :o) And your Cliff Lee prediction coming true would also be fabulous...

  3. You know what, Ralph, I think optimistic Larry is looking better after Game 1, for sure.

But nothing seems to come easy for this team, so who knows!

  4. What is it about being Phillies phans that makes us so cautious in our hopes for the team? Perhaps decades of disappointment? There is a spiritual lesson here somewhere. ;-)

  5. Phillies in 5. Cole Hamels pitches an 8 inning 4 hitter in game 5 and Brad Lidge comes on in the 9th to nail down another pennant for the Fightin's....Lord willing of course :-)

    gerry

p.s. not even sure if Cole will be pitching in game 5...maybe Phils in 4...

  6. Can't believe I missed out on this prediction-fun stuff.

Though I missed out on this, I would like to (not very humbly) mention again my prediction from early September, right here on this blog, that the Phils would repeat win the Series, going through SF (wrong!), LA (lookin good), and NYY (also lookin likely)!!
Fun stuff, and glad to be enjoying it along with "youse."
