There is a lot being said and written about today in the evangelical world concerning the connection between evangelism and "social action."
Almost two years ago, Tony Payne wrote three posts on this subject which I found insightful and biblically faithful (though we may have some slight disagreement on 2 Peter 3, I agree with his conclusions in point #3 of post 2).
